We are a nonprofit collaborative that supports and serves underrepresented communities. Whether it’s advocacy, wrap-around services, or community-based participatory research, we stand alongside marginalized communities and work with them to address the social conditions and barriers that have an adverse impact on their health and wellbeing. It is our goal to help provide the tools for these individuals to become self-sufficient and thriving members of their communities.
We serve as the connection point for vital services for our community members. Key aspects of our outreach and programming include meaningful partnerships and collaboration with the public sector, private sector, and human services systems. At the same time, we address multiple key issues important to marginalized communities: affordable housing, workforce development, trauma-informed care, mental health counseling, and mentoring. Our programs focus specifically on enhancing the safety of communities of color in high-poverty neighborhoods where gun violence is rife.
